Alexander Rakitko graduated with honors from the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Moscow State University in 2014. His master’s thesis was devoted to the development of the Multifactorial Dimensionality Reduction method in GWAS. The mathematical background and asymptotic properties of the proposed algorithm were investigated and published during the PhD program at the Moscow State University between 2014 and 2018 [1,2]. For several years Alexander Rakitko worked as a research assistant at the Hydrometeorological Research Center of the Russian Federation. His research was focused on the Bayesian hierarchical modeling and the study of non-stationary random fields [3,4]. New version of the Ensemble Kalman Filter was implemented as the R-package HBEF.
